Each year, we welcome artists around the world to stay at Caleta Club and use our studio space for a 3-week visit to create a new body of work. At the end of their stay, we organize a viewing show and invite the public to come see the art and meet the artists. If you would like to be considered for an artist residency, please connect with us via email.
In the Contact Notes, please keep the email short and sweet. Include a small synopsis of your origins, current and future projects, preferred mediums, as well as what you hope to achieve during your 3 week stay with us.

Q) What info do you require from us?

Q) When does the artist residency take place?
A) To be determined. We are a new company and therefore, we are still figuring out a lot of the details
Q) How long does the residency last?
A) 3 weeks
Q) How much does the artist residency cost?
A) We are still figuring out the details of this. We hope to keep the cost of the residency as low as possible to allow the artists as much creative freedom and accessibility. We understand that many artists continue to pay the costs of their living back home + transportation + supplies, so we hope to reduce the overhead to make it appropriate and affordable.
Q) How many artists per residency and are partners allowed?
A) We can welcome up to 4 artists per residency, and each is allowed a + 1 for their partner or friend. Their +1 will have a 25 euro/per night cost if they would like to join the residency.
Q) Will there be activities or excursions?
A) We would be happy to organize day trips/outings on a case-by-case basis once accepted into the residency.
Q) What languages do I need to speak to participate?
A) English and Spanish are recommended, but we are patient and understanding to non-English/non-Spanish speakers. Art is the primary language spoken during this stay!
Q) How are artists selected?
A) We base it on skill, merit, and logistics. We welcome artists of all types: painters, sketchers, photographers, videographers, writers, designers, creatives.... If schedules can align, we will do our best to select a time frame that ensures the artist can attend the duration of the residency. If there are scheduling issues, the artist can always reapply for a future stay, or they will be prioritized for the following residency. Arrival and departure days can be adjusted for convenience, although we strongly suggest the artist stay for the entirety of the 3 weeks to get the full experience and to integrate into the Cadiz lifestyle.
